Explanation of Fees

Your Agreement to secure Tenderheart Chihuahuas for purchase of a puppy is indicated with your initial payment to us. This mutually agreed amount allows us to effectively plan and manage our breeding program by securing good homes for our puppies in advance, allowing us to focus on healthy dams and puppies. Your initial payment covers our time spent with you for consultation any questions as well as our time contacting references, reviewing applications and preparing your client file. This is a non- refundable payment for the services mentioned above, however your amount paid is not lost as we deduct the total amount paid from your puppies’ total purchase price.

Your payment to reserve a selected puppy is your good faith commitment to purchase a puppy and is not refundable. When you reserve a selected puppy, no other person can claim it, which means no other potential homes are waiting except yours. 

• To reserve a selected TENDERHEART puppy for you a non-refundable payment is required with the amount negotiated at the time of your application approval. Once your deposit is received, you can relax knowing that your puppy is yours alone! We will not offer your pup to anyone else and all attempts to find a suitable home for this puppy cease. This puppy is effectively under contract with you, and the deposit is applied toward the total price of your puppy.  

• Waitlist or expected puppy deposits may be transferred to a future litter if you pass to wait for a certain look, size or sex, for a period of up to two years. Your deposit will apply toward the total price of your selected puppy once chosen, puppy pricing varies by puppy as discussed at time of application approval.

EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES However, there are some extenuating circumstances in which deposits may be transferred to a littermate or future litter once selected... in the unlikely event of puppy death, or “unsuitable for transfer” status at vet exam, the option to transfer a deposit to an available littermate, future litter or refund will be offered.
